Few weeks ago, it was a rainy night… as we attended these celebrations at KL Tower…
Mr. Husni from KL Tower Malaysia invited my princess, Shanere and I to this special day, as VIP =)
It’s a private event, only for the invited guests~
Walking in… as u can see, there are a lot of videographers/ photographers/ media ppl there… as its a real cool day that combines lots of different celebrations for KL Tower, and there are a lot of Datuk Datin there as well, make me feel so so so small meeting up with all these successful ppl ~
Celebration 1 – The Open House of Aidilfitri and Deepavali
yeah! my all time fav – food!!! U really cant imagine just how many foods are there for us!! And this is truly Malaysian with all the Malaysia foods – satay, kuih, laksa, well, just too many to name them all (with some that i’ve not tried before too =P)~
There are like more than 20 nicely decorated buffet style hawker stalls, which are dressed up with our local settings… all readily to serve us and for us to eat, all we want, yum yum!

Celebration 2 - The Launching of Cultural Village Malaysia
Whats next after the open house?
hehe cultural performances began!!
all around us as well as on both the stages on top and below us!!

we get to enjoy the beautiful melodies created using all the traditional instruments under these beautiful stars~
i love those cultural dress/ dances so much~ all these performances are to celebrate the launching of cultural village in Malaysia!!

Celebration 3 – 13th Year Anniversary of KL Tower
yeap, it has been 13 years since we have this awesome tower in Kuala Lumpur~ time flies… i remembered my first visit to it and goshh, i was so young back then!!
we have beautiful fireworks to celebrate its birthday!!
then, some laser wordings, Menara KL –> Ke 13 –> 1 Malaysia and it repeats again and again~
with very very beautiful colors of KL Tower, really very very very beautiful… i never get to see KL Tower being so colorful!!
Everyone is looking up while enjoying the changing of colors, wordings and fireworks!! Happy 13th Birthday KL Tower!!!
Celebration 4 – KL Tower International Jump Malaysia 2009
Alright the laser wording is not obvious in this pic, its Base Jump, its obviously seen if u are there with me right under KL Tower~
When we were there, that night is the highlight of the KLTIJM 09 (KL Tower International Jump Malaysia 2009) event, whereby BASE jumpers will continuously jump from Menara Kuala Lumpur for 24 hours!!!! Yes they have been jumping since morning!!!
hehe why it’s being called as Base Jump?? well “BASE” is an acronym that stands for the four categories of objects from which one can jump~ Building, Antenna, Span, Earth~
This time around, those base jumpers get to jump from a Building, but not a normal Building but a tower… KL Tower!! the fifth tallest tower in the world~~
They jumped off from the top of a 421m tower!!!! so nice right?? somemore its the Night Jump!! and 98 jumpers are jumping continuosly!!!
sometimes they jump alone…
sometimes they jump in pair…
or in three…
oh yeah.. the BASE jumpers are from all over the world – UK, USA, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Turkey, Canada, Finland, Australia, Russia, India, Japan… total of 18 countries took part in this KL Tower Jump…
wondering what i’m thinking?? i was so regretful!!! We were being offered by Mr. Husni to go on top of KL Tower earlier before the dinner starts and be up close with ALL the international jumpers. if so we will get to watch them prepare and jump down from the top!! Only axn and espn allowed to be up there, even all the VIPs are not allowed to go on top!!! how can we missed the chance?? sorry Shanere!!!! why i love foods so much that i busy eating till stay here…. sob sob… those foods… are just too yummy… >_<
but at least… i get to see them real close… right in front of us…

the landing strip… very strategic location to see everything hehe =P
the weather condition on the night is really bad … with strong blowing wind… all of us were so worried, but those jumpers are very professional, and managed to control perfectly. but yet, there are still contingency plans to which there are 2 other landing site in town. that’s why you will see 1 or 2 of them actually landed somewhere in town~

It’s when our Malaysia jumpers jumping with the sponsors branding on their parachutes!!
And here is the spotlight:
The hottest one.. RTM is the sponsor… and this jumper? he is the last one jumping down, from another side of KL Tower, with Malaysia flag with him!! so cool right!!!! goshh, I love Malaysia, well, I really do, don’t ask me why, I’m always proud that I’m a Malaysian~ I love my country my fatherland ^^

last time when studying, i didnt exactly buy dslr, just digi cam that has some dslr functions, cuz not enough money lor, now bought d to shoot events, but always go here go there, didnt bring along often… miss shooting photos everywhere alot =(

我有看到紫色的，那天刚好放工在klcc附近看到~ 还以为kl tower什么时候变得这么漂亮了。。不过后来的日子发现有差。。。（做么不要持续咧？？）
我也是奇怪为什么他们不持续，后来听那里的工作人员说，那个灯光一个晚上就用上了好多钱……我想这就是原因吧，但至少我们那晚都看见了很漂亮的kl tower ^^
