I’m back. just like the season 3 of our Studio Star Search, presented by L’Oreal Paris Studioline~  Difference is that Studio Star Search season 3 just ended 2 weeks ago, and i must say it is a very good and exciting search… thanks to all who joined and supported us in this

For those of u who have been following my blog, u may have came across my post last year on season 2 . i still remember how fun it is having those young and energetic stars around… yes, i’m talking bout u guys and gals – kerr kay, jen, wei yen, mogan, eddie, hong wei, billy, akhil and the whole lots of u. Miss u all and i am glad that some of u really did shine and become a stars! bravo!!! keep it up~

This season 3 also promises a lot of good quality stars~ and I’m actually one of the judges for this season，seriously, i think i look very serious n fierce in this photo~

Recruitment:

I still remember how we started our roadshows in Sg. Wang with hundreds of participation from all the stars wannabe. There are even those who are very enthusiastic, they not only email over to join but also make their way to Sg Wang~ ^^

Hmm, why is it in Sg Wang but not colleges/ universities like previous seasons? cuz we want to allow more opportunities for others to shine together with L’Oreal Paris Studioline lor~

have been working with celebrity stylists, stevensunny many times and i really admire his senses in beauty~

lastly, Kay~ a very special girl fren i hav now since season 2~ hehe she is a very kind and pretty and tall girl~ i love her bone structure so much, unlike me, short and round ><

Of course, aside from Sg Wang, we also visited some campuses to open this opportunity to the younger generation. those of u in mmu, kdu, sunway and inti are given this opportunity~ Free styling was also given to all interested participants… and if u feels that is not good enough, our emcee even give out cool L’Oreal goodies for those who joined us for some fun games~

Audition:

We have more than 500 participants this season, and it took us quite sometime to shortlist into 50 finalists~ Then, in order to make this year search more interesting, we held an audition at Zouk Club for the 50 shortlisted finalists~

shortlisted finalists have to intro about themselves~

show us their talents~

strike some poses and do a catwalk~

answer some questions from judges~

everyone who turned up look so nervous and some even cried… make me feel so bad just as though i’m another “Simon” >.< but u all know me… how could i be Simon rite

hehe… but there are really a lot of potential and it is really a very hard time for us to shortlist from 50 to our top 20 finalists again~

Training

After selecting the top 20, we organised a training for all of them so that everyone will have the basic skills to become a star ^^

They were trained on the basic of skincare, make-up, hair styling, fashion selection, catwalk and finally photoshoot + videoshoot… and i was sitting there learning too

L’Oreal products~

i think beside of those valuable knowledges that the finalists get, they are happy with how L’Oreal Malaysia pamper them too ^^

everyone gets everything on their table ^^ the chics get these studioline hair styling products, make up products, hair care and hair color products,  skin care products… i guess its around RM 500 there… wow~

the hunks get lots of studioline hair styling products, men expert skincare, hair care products, and make up products too

skin care~ always start with make up removal~

haha are u guys really the men expert~ aint they cute with the hair clips on?

and its really entertaining to see how the guys throw funny expressions while applying liquid foundation and face powder, lol~

the girls are all lookin so fabulous and beautiful when applying their make up~

all the girls put on their own make up~

and then get some advices and touch up from stevensunny and his team~ ^^

wow~ pretty faces bright smiles and sexy bodies~ and soon they will get their hair done by using studioline products, transforming into stars ^^

then, proceed to the catwalk session~

some of their walks are good and some really funny~ but after the training, everyone is good d ^^

then the finalists would have to mix and match their clothes~ our experts will then tell them what actually fit them best~

the best part is.. everyone has a great hairdo then! some finalists even get a total hair makeover.. hair cut and hair color etc and they look so perfect then~ hair style is really important to make someone looks beautiful, goshhh i so wish to have such makeover too~

in this season 3, we want everyone to not only enjoy the process of becoming a star… but also learn the essential skills needed to be a star~

well… i didn’t shoot any photo during the audition and training day as i have to be judge and taking care of other stuffs~ the only photoshoot i involve in is choreographing finalists individual photo~ ^^

and after all the needed training, all the finalists are given a month time for them to practice and prepare themselves for the finale~

Grand Finale:
at the day of the finale, everyone came prepared. some have their friends supporting them by joining them for talent show… some with their guitar and drum… and there are even those who came with the whole set of electronic organ. Hours before the gate opened, we could see crowd lining up waiting to get into Zouk (despite of the rain)~

Frederick Ng from L’Oreal Malaysia, who has been guiding me and teaching me lots of stuff~ he is also the styling pro of L’Oreal Malaysia~

our judge table is just in front of the T-stage~

gate opened from 7pm – 730pm and in just half an hour, we could see crowds jamming up the place. Behind the stage, i could see how the finalists were all transformed to a star.

those who came early would have not regret it as they got themselves a goodie bag by L’Oreal Paris as well as book a good seat in the house ^^

with my favourite emcee, Liang, in the house, everyone started to go wild~

as scheduled in our rundown in Uth website, we started our event right on time, 8:00pm sharp~ ^^

the crowds~

Seated at the far end as one of the judges, i could feel the heat in the house as well as the anxiety of the finalist backstage. The show started with a fashion show by the finalist and they look really good in Jaspal apparel~

gosh i love her eye make up and the slim body of hers~ the Jaspal outfit is looking so nice on her~

well, how i miss those times when i was young and joining all the contests, having all the buddies of mine supporting me there… i miss my school/uni mates so much

every finalist has many of their friends supporting them there, so sweet~ ^^

then there is another hair show whereby all the finalists have a studioline product in their hands~

some of them able to draw so much attention and cheers from the audiences~

some of them are born charmers~

some are just the perfect matching pair~ Kim Li has a very unique and pretty face which i like~

some are the bad naughty boys

aint they lovely?

Klarissa, there is just sth in her, one of my top fav that night~ she is a Malayisan from Indonesia~

Dhanusha has a perfect face, i love her eyes, her nose and her lips, a true beauty.

After the fashion show, we are being entertained by the performances from the finalists and everyone really has their own talent. perhaps i should consider doing a Malaysian Got Talent… i’m sure that all of them will fit in very well.

among them all, i must say Pauline’s hip-hop dance surprise me the most as I’ve never thought that a sweet young lady like her will come out with such moves and even a head stand??? this is really unexpected.

Shahira also amazed me with her vocal… this gal can really sing~ a lot of finalists were singing that night too, but they are not good in controling their mic.. all the finalists who sing are using the exactly same mic which emcee Liang is using too, they are good during rehersal but when it comes to real thing, Shahira is the only one who controls the mic and sings perfectly ^^

And not forgetting Azim with his stunning moves despite the injury that he just occur during his recent shoot. It was smart to see how he incorporate Studioline products into his dance~

well, after a long night of  great show, comes the most headache session – the winner selection. after looking thru all the scores by all the 3 judges, we have our winners. a total of 4 category of prizes to be given out – Best Vote, Best Performance and the Star Search winners ^^

well you can simply tell by the amount of fans that he has on the night~ ^^

Then, I was giving away the prizes for Best Performance too together with season 2 winners~ it goes to Azim and Shahira (we have too much of difficulty in this and decided to go for 2 winners for very 1st time)~

lastly, Fred is giving away the prizes to the winner of Studio Star Search season 3….
